BOISE, Idaho, June 3, 2019 – National HouseCheck Foundation is proud to announce the addition of Carole Johnson, Ph.D., to its Board of Directors. An accomplished leader with a passion for youth education and community service, Johnson joins the Board of Directors in helping to deliver the Foundation’s mission of providing support to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.
“It is an honor to be part of a team of such committed and compassionate individuals working tirelessly to bring support and hope where it’s needed most,” says Johnson. “I am proud to join my fellow Board members, Foundation supporters, and advocates in working together to help bring an end to domestic abuse.”
Johnson comes to the HouseCheck Foundation with more than 40 years of experience in technical education, teaching, and workforce development. Among her wide-ranging experience, Johnson has served as CEO of Gateway Technical College; Chancellor of the Minnesota Technical College System; Associate Vice President for Planning, Research and Evaluation for the Colorado Community College System; and Director of Community Programs for The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread.

Outside of her professional career, Johnson was the Founder and long-term board member of 21st Century Preparatory School and has served as a Board Member for Sustainable Racine, the YWCA, Wheaton-Franciscan Healthcare, the Private Industry Council, Racine Public Library and TEMPO of Racine, among others.
She earned her Ph.D. from Ohio State University through an EPDA fellowship in Vocational-Technical Education with emphasis on Special Education and Research, and has taught at the elementary, high school and university levels.
